Why Mock Interviews Matter
Practising interviews beforehand is essential to boost confidence, bridge academic gaps, and master clear and coherent responses. U2 will pair you with a different Medical / Veterinary / Dentistry expert for each interview. Each will have their own styles and may focus on different types of question. E.g. in one interview you may be presented with an MRI scan and asked to describe what you see. In another you may be asked to describe a scientific experiment. Candidates are often presented with a graph from a research paper and asked to interpret it. You may also have an ethical component: you will be expected to think about what you would do practically in particular situations as a doctor with ethical considerations in mind. All questions will be based on real-life past interview questions.
What to Expect on Interview Day
Kickstart the day with an engaging Interview 101 session and an immersive skills workshop (2 hours):
Introduction & Interview 101-session: Understand the interview's role in admissions, discover what tutors seek, and gain insights to stand out. Familiarise yourself with various interview types and question formats specific to Med / Vet School.
Interview Skills Workshop: Learn how to convey confidence in online interviews, demonstrate logical thinking, build convincing arguments, establish rapport, and shine on the interview day.
Following this, engage in two personalised 1-1 mock interviews and a small group interview, each led by a distinct Medical / Veterinary / Dentistry expert. Receive comprehensive oral feedback after each interview, assessing your subject interest, knowledge, adaptability to new ideas, and evidence of further reading.
Guidance and Progress Tracking
Expect comprehensive written feedback reports via email, compiling recommendations, improvement areas, and additional questions for self-practice.
