Our mentors receive wonderful feedback from the students they teach. A selection of them are viewable below. All tutors will provide references upon request.

Georgia is an enthusiastic and friendly tutor and is also extremely reliable. She is very organised and my son made fantastic notes in her lessons and these assisted him greatly during revision time. She knew the syllabus very well and the sessions were well structured.

Highly interactive lessons and good encouragement of student recall. My son stayed engaged throughout.

My son started sessions with Rosalind with little confidence in his ability in Psychology. I have always felt he was a reluctant learner, however, Rosalind engaged with him really quickly and there was a vast improvement in his ability to retain new information, as well as enthusiasm for the subject.

Ellie was an incredibly warm-hearted, competent, and well prepared tutor. I had 20 tutorials with her concerning Personal Statement Mentoring, TSA Oxford Preparation, and Oxford Interview Preparation (E&M) and I enjoyed all of them. Eleanor’s friendly yet professional nature made me feel thoroughly prepared for the Oxford admissions process. Most importantly: I received my offer from Oxford (Keble College) in E&M today! (11/2/17) Therefore, I’m really thankful for her guidance and support, both academically and personally.

We appreciate all the help you have provided to Jefferey since last summer. Jeffery is currently enrolled in the OXSTART program, with u2, for his application to Oxford to study English. Jeffrey has been undertaking weekly tutorial sessions with his u2 primary mentor each week and has made great progress - he is now more confident and articulate when giving his opinion or interpretation and is aware of different academic practices and schools of thought within both subjects, which he had not been given exposure to at school. Jeffrey found his online masterclasses with a Masters History graduate as part of the program, were especially enjoyable, linking aspects of his school History curriculum to more complex historiographical issues. He is due to visit Oxford for an experience day this Half Term, where he will be attending two lectures, one in History and one in English and two further tutorial sessions with an undergraduate in each subject, which should be a really motivating experience!

I taught Lucy at Oxford University and I recommend her tutoring most enthusiastically. Lucy is bright, witty and accomplished. As a student, she was well-organised, and succeeded in setting her personal bar ever higher each term. She read widely and researched deeply, responding with sensitivity to alternative readings of the texts we studied. As a keen theatre director, Lucy flourished as a Shakespeare scholar, producing work of impressive methodological reach, incisiveness and imaginativeness. As a tutor, she would undoubtedly inspire her students to fulfil their full potential.
— Ms. Valladares, Departmental Lecturer at University of Oxford
Camille did a thoroughly excellent job. Academically she was qualified, but she also knew the nuances of the examination boards and how to prepare for that.
— John T (Parent)
Extremely helpful with exam technique and content. Highly recommended.
— Pretam (Parent)
Very clear and eloquent in her explanations and analysis of difficult topics!
— Bobby (Parent)
I just want to say a massive thank you for your help this year in Chemistry. All the hard work and help paid off since I achieved an A*.
— Isabella O (Student)
She has always shown to be reliable, the children loved her and most of all made huge improvements, especially with creative writing.
— Lavinia DC (Parent)
Amazing tutor - knowledgeable, knows the course and is excellent at explaining difficult concepts and making them simple. Highly recommended.
— Monideep G (Student)
Really helpful, cleared up any worries I had, great tutor.
— Liz K (Parent)
I am delighted to give my strong support to Philippa as a tutor for Spanish, French and Mathematics. I have been Pippa’s Director of Studies since her matriculation at the University of Cambridge as an undergraduate studying Spanish and Portuguese. I was both delighted and completely unsurprised by her excellent results in this year’s examinations: a First in Portuguese, the third highest mark in the cohort, and a very high II.1 in Spanish, which includes a first-class mark in the language paper most relevant to her tutoring role.
— Dr E M Guild Fellow (Director of Studies, Tutor, Robinson College, Cambridge)
Kirsty used rigorous monitoring effectively within the lessons and gave feedback throughout. She had a clear understanding of the progression through the maths syllabus and took time to ensure that her lessons built upon this.
— Teach First Program (Assistant Head Teacher)
Ned is a natural teacher and very professional. He is patient, thorough and ensures the topic is fully understood before moving on to a new one; and then revisits the topics to make sure they are not forgotten. Thank you for all your help, Ned.

Paula brings a high level of enthusiasm and engagement to any discussion, and reads widely and deeply in preparation for her assignments. I wholeheartedly recommend her to you as someone who would make an approachable and inspiring academic mentor or personal tutor.
